Krampus, a figure in Central European folklore, has origins in pagan beliefs and Christian traditions. Stemming from pre-Christian Alpine cultures, Krampus represents the dark side of winter, punishing misbehaving children. It assimilated into Christian celebrations, particularly Christmas. Krampus's terrifying appearance includes horns, hooves, and a long tongue. Parades and festivals are held annually to honor this frightful creature, captivating and intriguing people to this day.
